The objective of this research is to determine the effects of counseling method, Need achievement motivation toward the knowledge about impact of damage of coral reefs ecosystem. The research is conducted to fisherman at Durian Village, South Lampung with n = 60 by using factorial 2X2. The research concludes these followings : (1) The mean of knowledge about impact of damage coral reefs ecosystem of fisherman taught by counseling metod in demonstration method is significantly higher than those in lecture method, (2) For fisherman with need achievement strong, the mean of knowledge about impact of damage of coral reefs ecosystem taught by counseling metod in demonstration method is higher than those in lecture method, (3) Fisherman which need achievement weak, the mean of knowledge about impact of damage of coral reefs ecosystem taught by counseling metod in lecture method is higher than those in demonstration method, (4) There is an interaction effect of counseling method and need achievement toward the knowledge about impact of damage of coral reefs ecosystem, and (5) Whole of fisherman which need achievement strong is higher than weak, toward the knowledge about impact of damage of coral reefs ecosystem.
